Fishing book reading journal

The book is about fishing. It teaches you many basic beginner skills about what to do and how to set yourself up. In the book it shows you many different fishing types these are course fishing, Trout fishing, sea fishing and river fishing. The book is made with different types and is divided in different sections. I particularly focused on course fishing because that’s the type of fishing I do.

In the course fishing section it tells you all the different methods that you can use for this. It also tells you what type of knots to use in particular ways of fishing. There are many methods in course fishing these are float fishing which is normally used for smaller fish, ledger fishing which is for more of the bigger fish, the fish can weigh up to 106 lbs (carp), method feeding, this can catch you any size of fish and catches you many different species of fish (most

Fast track

In my opinion I think that fast track should not be allowed. The reasons why will be said in later paragraphs.

My first reason why is because it is not fair for all of the people that might not be able to afford fast track. If they want to buy someone a present for their kids, girlfriend or boyfriend then it would be hard for them to buy fast track. It could be expensive depending on the ride.

My second reason is because people sometimes stand in the line for nearly an hour or maybe more. When people come past with fast track it can frustrate people. Some people may realise that you have to wait in queues and understand that when you pay for fast track that is not fair on others.

My third reason is because fast track is like cheating in a sport. For example. When you are a runner in the Olympics and you pay for steroids that put you infront of people, it is like the same as paying for fast track because it puts you infront of people in the line.

The conclusion for this piece is that I think that paying for fast track is wrong. I also think that paying for fast track is unfair to all the people that have been waiting in the line for over an hour.

Year Nine Experimental Research Phase Two: Plans

Equipment that i will use for the experiment:

clamp – to keep the ruler in position. – i will use this to keep the experiment accurate and to make sure the ruler is in position.

paper helicopter – to see how long it takes to get to the floor.

stopwatch – to make time precise.

100mm ruler – to make the experiment as precise and accurate as possible.

letter (science work)

dear RAF,

hi, I am Archie reed and I am a proud holder of the electromagnet badge. I achieved this badge by doing an experiment on making electromagnets, I also had to create a table of how many coils it would take to pick up a certain amount of paper clips. I studied science throughout my school life and still study it now. I enjoyed science and am proud of how science is still enjoyable especially at my age.my most recent experiment is paper helicopters, i would like to sell the paper helicopters to you because i believe that it could make you loads of money.

I believe that paper helicopters would make you money because your a special organization that works with aircraft and i think that the paper helicopters would be up your street. i think that it would make you money because it can be measured easily and you can time how long it takes to fall.you can also use it to tell your troops at what time they will have to jump if their helicopter or plane is falling down to crash land. The paper helicopters are a good thing for your organization because they would make good examples of crash landing helicopters. They would make also make a good presentation, to show examples of how the helicopters drop in crash landings.

Paper helicopters are easily timed, the mass can also be easily changed. By changing the mass the helicopter would fall faster. You can also make it fall slower by changing the length of the propellers.

I hope you enjoyed reading my letter and i hope you want to buy my paper helicopters. I also hope that you take my experiment for granted and use my experiment to make a fair amount of money.

kind regards Archie reed.

3,2,1,run

On a late winters day in Milton Keynes,on a Friday night, it was dark and the MKB was running through the shopping centre. The four boys Bob, Jim, Gary and the big man ‘h’, ran into a shop and hid from the security. The MKB knew they had to get out so they separated and made a plan to meet at the bus stop.

When MKB got off the bus they knew they was going to pass the four boys that they absolutely hated, so the clenched their fists and prepared themselves for something bad to happen. When the MKB heard the four boys that they hated, the leader H  said to everyone

“OI shut up now!, we are going to make these melts run.”

So the leader H said

“Bob you come with me and you two go round the other way.”

H and Bob crept up behind the other four boys, they was going to have a nice surprise in a minute. H and Bob waited for Jim and Gary in front of the four boys as a distraction. As Jim and Gary walked past the four boys, one of them noticed Jim and Gary and said to the others

“OI, look it’s two of them MKB lot ,lets get him!”, as the four boys went to chase them H said from behind them with a bat in his hand

” where you going mate?”the four boys turned around and saw H holding a bat and Bob holding a plank of wood and ran without thinking or blinking. When the MKB had met back up they was all crying with laughter about how quick they ran away from Bob and H.

One day at the lake one of the boys from the four boys that MKB absolutely hated was walking by the tunel and was heading there. As the boy was going into the tunel H saw hime and said,

“oi boys theres one of them melts from the park.”

“Oh yeah,” replied Bob.

So what H done was make Jim and Bob go round the other side of the tunel. The boy dmsay Bob and Jim, he turned round not looking for trouble. He turned to walk out the other side, but H and Gary were already there already there.

” oh hello there mate, going somewhere?” Said H.

“Whats that got to do with you?” Replied the boy.

“Whos he talking to boys?” Said H looking behind him sarcastically.

“Im talking to you, now let me past!”

“Where you going? Why should i let you past?”

” im not going no where, why do you want to know?”

“Well you must be going somewhere, if you want me to let you through?”

” im going home, so let me past now!”

” Where’s your home?, have to make sure otherwise you would be lying to my face.”

” Im going home alright, so let me through!”

” What should i do boys?, should i let him through?” Said H to his boys.

“Thats a tough decision H, but i think we should keep him with is incase he snakes” said Bob.

H went into he inside pocket of his coat reaching to pull something out. The boy was getting scared, he thought he was going to get hurt.

“Good choice Bob, right come here you are coming with us, boys lets go.”

All of them walked off, then MKB took the boy back to their hideout.

“What do we do with him now H?”

“Well we are going with us until his boys clme to get him,” but nobody knows where the boy is.

“How long are we going to keep him here for H?” Said Gary.

“As long as it takes,”said H.

“But nobody knows he’s here.”

“oh well” said h

“but it’s getting late and it looks like no one is turning up.”

“what should we do boys, should we let him go?”

“well if no one is coming then we might aswell cut fam.”

“exactly H we might aswell cut ‘g’, we all need to be home.”

“Go on then p*** off, im letting go, run. Make sure we never catch you slacking again!”

H and the boys all walked off laughing, while the boy walked off sopping.

What is the significance of Caesar’s North Star speech in the Capitol

“I could be well moved if I were as you. if I could pray to move, prayers would move me. but I am as constant as the northern star, of whose true fixed and resting quality there is no fellow in the firmament. the skies are painted with unnumbered sparks; they are all fire, and everyone doth shine; but there’s but one in all doth hold his place.”
these lines comes from Caesar’s speech in act 3, scene 1, just before his assassination. The conspirators have come to Caesar in the senate under the pretence of pleading for amnesty for Metullius’s banished brother, Publius Cimber. Caesar replies that he will adhere his word and not change his earlier decision. Comparing himself to the north star, Caesar boasts his constancy, his commitment to the law, and his refusal waver under any persuasion. This comparison implies more than steadfastness, however: the north star is the star by which sailors have navigated since ancient times, the star that guides them in their voyages, just as Caesar leads the Roman people. so, too, is the north star unique in its fixedness; as the only star that never changes it’s position in the sky, it has “no fellow in the firmament.” Thus, Caesar also implies that he is peerless among Romans. Caesar declares that he alone remains “unassaliable” among men, and his strictness in Publius Cimber’s case illustrates this virtue.

Essay

In my opinion Caesar’s “North star” speech is a significance to the play. I believe this because it show many shows of hubris, which is very powerful and is used for other characters like Brutus. Hubris is when a man shows confidence In themselves and believes that they are the most powerful person ever made. Am example of hubris is actually in Caesar’s “North star” speech, this is when Caesar says “I could be well moved, if I were as you: if I could pray to move, prayers would move me: but i am as constant as the North star”. This is showing hubris because he is saying that he could not be moved even if he was to pray, he also says ” but I’m  am as constant as the North Star”, this shows hubris because the North star never moves. So what Caesar is trying to say is that he is can never be moved. Not only does this have effect on Caesar it also has effect on the conspiracy. It has an effect on the conspiracy because Caesar says that he can never be killed but as soon as Caesar finishes his speech the conspirators attack Caesar and start stabbing him until Brutus finished him off white the last stab. This could have got people thinking, why was the play called Julius Caesar when he dies half way through?

The North star speech made me feel that Caesar was getting his confidence way to high by using his hubris, using the Romans to create that hubris and thinking that he is the leader of Rome. But the speech was also making me think that Caesar thinks that he can never be defeated. Many Romans thought that Rome did not need a leader because they would not have the freedom that they had without a leader, such as the conspirators. Brutus said something along the lines of ” it’s not that I love Caesar less, it’s that I love Rome more”. That is very powerful especially to me because he is saying to the Romans that if they was to follow Caesar around like sheep then they would lose their freedom. The North star speech made me feel that Caesar is selfish and that he does not care about any body but himself. An example of this is ‘Caesar calls his servant/slave, servant where as Brutus calls his servant/slave by his original name. The speech made me have mixed emotions about Caesar because it shows his desire to be a good man, but also shows hubris and him being a horrible man.

Carry on essay

As it comes mere moments before the murder, the speech adds much irony to the scene: having just boasted that he is “unassailable,” Caesar is shortly assailed and killed. In announcing his “constancy,” Caesar claims permanency, immortality even. The assassins quickly prove Caesar mortal, however. But as the later events of the play reveal, Caesar’s influence and eternality are undeniable. His ghost seems to live on to avenge the murder: Brutus and Cassius directly attribute much of their misfortune to Caesar’s workings from beyond the grave; so, too, does the name “Caesar” undergo metamorphosis from an individual man’s name to the title of an institution—the empiric rule of Rome—by the end of the play. In these more important ways, Caesar’s lofty estimation of himself proves true.

the rise and fall of Julius Caesar

my question is what is the significance of Caesar’s “north star” speech in the capitol? how did this speech make you feel about Caesar? the conspirators?

“I could be well moved if I were as you. if I could pray to move, prayers would move me. but I am as constant as the northern star, of whose true fixed and resting quality there is no fellow in the firmament. the skies are painted with unnumbered sparks; they are all fire, and everyone doth shine; but there’s but one in all doth hold his place.”

the rugged individual

wThe picture gives me a feeling that the individual is sort of like the last man alive not only by his name but by the way he is on top of the mountain and below him looks like it is a lonely country that has had some type of tornado which has whipped out everyone but the rugged individual.

see the rugged individual has a story, a story that goes deep in to how he got to the tip top of the mountain. This ginger tough bodied man was on a 1 week hike. Let’s begin with the story of the rugged individual.

it all began with a massive tornado that whipped out the whole world and left one man, he called himself the rugged individual. He was a very strong man a very broad one too he has ginger hair and probably would get the ladies if their were any. now that there is no more people in the world the rugged individual is quite lonely. Since everyone was gone the rugged individual decided to hike up the tallest mountain to see what his country looked like from above, he knew that this wasn’t going to be a short hike he knew it would take as long as a week, so the rugged individual prepared himself well. He started his hike on a Tuesday. He left at 5:40 in the evening. on his way he had to walk through the dusty desert, the dust started to get in his eyes and this wasn’t a good start for the rugged individual. By now he was struggling to see, he knew he had to come up with a plan.
